Cake. is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, contacting us by email or on our social media pages/profiles (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

• Customer reviews and feedback regarding orders

• Photographic images of completed order (i.e. final decorated product only) produced in fulfilment of your order, which depending on the décor of an individual order, may include limited personal information (e.g. name/age/ date of birth/personal photograph)

Cake. reserves the right to refuse custom at its entire discretion.

​

An order is only confirmed and price finalised upon receipt of a non-refundable amount of 50% total quote (excluding delivery) by way of deposit and advance payment. This charge is to both reserve the service, and reflect Cake's expenses incurred in carrying out the contract, which are typically incurred well in advance of the service due date. This charge is also reflective of potential loss of earnings incurred in reserving the date, thereby restricting Cake. from taking on additional orders for that period. The remainder must be paid - in cleared funds - by collection/delivery date. Cancellations within 7 days of collection/delivery date will be charged at full price in most instances, as cakes/cupcakes/toppers are typically prepared well in advance.

 

Payment of the deposit/advance payment indicates agreement with our terms of business. Once paid, the design and details outlined in the invoice issued by Cake. becomes final.

We accept Payment by bank transfer, cash, or PayPal (fees apply).

​

Cake stands/knives/candles are not provided.

​

All our cakes are individual and unique, as they are lovingly crafted by hand by a cake hobbyist, with a close eye for the aesthetics as decorating progresses. As such, final designs/product may vary (with or without consultation and at the entire discretion of the cake decorator) from initial drawings or indicative, sample images.

Cake. accepts no responsibility whatsoever for cakes/cupcakes once they have been collected/delivered - please handle with utmost care, and follow any handover (food safe storage/identification and removal of non-edible parts) instructions provided verbally upon collection/delivery.

​

Unless stated, our baked goods do not contain nuts, HOWEVER several ingredients used state: "may contain traces of nuts" and our home kitchen is not a nut-free one. As such, it is recommended that those with nut allergies do not consume our baked goods. Other common allergens for the majority of our produce include wheat, gluten, dairy, and eggs, however this list is not exhaustive and the client can be provided with a full list of ingredients upon request.

Delivery of orders may be available as an additional service. If such a service is confirmed and paid for, Cake. will do its utmost to fulfil a delivery, however we will not be liable if we fail to do so in part or full due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. severe weather conditions, mechanical failure, etc.). In such instances, Cake. will provide as much advance notice as is reasonably practicable, refund any delivery fee paid, and make itself available to accommodate collection of the order from the Client (or a 3rd party arranged by the Client, or by Cake. at the Client's request

and Client's expense) from the business address. The Client remains responsible for the full cost of the invoice amount (less delivery fee).
